I haven’t met anyone who didn’t love an easy recipe. I personally love finding recipes that don’t require a ton of ingredients and don’t require much involvement. This salsa only has six ingredients!
This salsa is perfect for snacking, for Taco Tuesday, or simply for a friend as a gift–just add a bag of chips!
Disclaimer: This is my mom’s recipe, and like most Mexican cooks, the measurements are not exact. I did my best to provide measurements. However, I would suggest starting with less and then adding more as needed.
This will make about 2 cups.
- 2 large jalapenos
- ⅓ bunch of cilantro
- 1 can of diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons of garlic salt
- 1 Tablespoon of lemon pepper
- 1 bunch of green onions
Cut jalapenos and remove seeds. For a spicier taste, leave seeds. Cut the green onions into chunks. Throw all items and seasoning in the food processor or blender. Once it’s blended, take a chip to try salsa. Adjust seasoning if needed.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do! For another delicious homemade salsa recipe, try Nicole’s pineapple avocado salsa.
