Why should I deliver in a hospital?

There are many benefits to a labor and delivery hospital. In case of emergency, a hospital is the safest place to be. A hospital also gives you the freedom to have a natural, unmedicated birth, but also has the options of epidural and pain medicine available. If you are at an increased risk for complications or if your baby is at risk, a hospital labor and delivery unit is recommended.

This is also the most traditional method of delivery. It’s likely where your mom and your mom’s mom delivered. Here are some options for Labor and Delivery Hospitals in the Albuquerque area.
