Alyssa is originally from a rural Amish community in Illinois but pursued her love for adventure as a full-time RVer traveling in her camper across North America before moving to New Mexico just before the pandemic hit. As a self-proclaimed “Jill of all trades, master of none,” she has run her freelance writing business for over a decade, primarily writing articles for magazines and websites in diverse industries. Alyssa gave birth to her son, a “pandemic baby,” in April 2020 and is so grateful for the connections she has found through ABQ Mom as a new parent. She is now navigating the insane world of toddlerhood and loves introducing her little guy to her passions of hiking, rock climbing, music, art, animals, and travel.
