3rd Annual Corrales Bird Walk

New Mexico Land Conservancy is partnering with the Village of Corrales Farmland Preservation and Agricultural Commission and the Indigenous Farm Hub to host our 3rd Annual Bird Walk.
Participants will enjoy an introduction to bird identification from Los Ranchos-based birder and naturalist, Dave Mehlman. while visiting working farms protected by permanent conservation easement. Along the way, we’ll explore the rich diversity of migratory and resident birds and discuss how preserving agricultural lands supports vital bird habitat.
What to Expect
• Approximately 1 mile of walking
• Dirt paths and uneven ground
• Introduction to bird identification
What to Bring
• Binoculars (essential for bird identification)
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Sun protection and water
