Vegetarian/Vegan Friendly Restaurants Around Albuquerque

Plant-based diets are becoming more popular these days. However, finding a restaurant that has vegetarian/vegan options isn’t always easy.

If you’re looking to eat more plant-based this year, but still want to enjoy eating out, here are some great Albuquerque vegan and vegetarian-friendly restaurants for you and your family to try.

Vegetarian/Vegan Friendly Restaurants Around Albuquerque

Annapurna’s World Vegetarian Café

2201 Silver Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106

This is a great restaurant and also has a ton of options. All of the breakfast choices are fantastic. The stir-fry is a MUST try, and the salads are always fresh. They have great sandwiches and wraps as well. The Chai Tea Latte is the best Chai I have ever tasted, hands down.

Flying Star

multiple locations

Obviously, Flying Star is not purely a vegan restaurant, but it does have a lot of plant-based and vegan-friendly options. When you go with your non-vegan friends, everyone is happy!

Itality

2500 12th St. NW, Unit E, Suite 2

Itality reimagines Pueblo dishes into mouth-watering plant-based plates. The Ital NDN Taco — a Pueblo-style fry bread with red Chile, beans, pumpkin chi sauce, and toppings — looks drool-worthy!

La Salita

1950 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE

La Salita in the Northeast Heights offers multiple vegetarian and vegan Mexican food options. They serve vegan huevos rancheros, vegan chile rellenos, vegan tacos with Impossible meat, and during the holidays, vegan biscochitos!

Lucky Goose

4416 Wyoming Blvd. NE (Northeast) & 3503 Central Ave NE (Nob Hill)

With two locations in Albuquerque, Lucky Goose offers a completely plant-based alternative to traditional fast food fare. The Lucky Chick’n burger and fries are delicious. Don’t forget to grab a vegan shake too!

Naan & Dosa

6501 Wyoming Blvd NE

A favorite Indian restaurant in the Northeast Heights, Naan & Dosa serves incredible curries, soups, dosas, and more. It’s a restaurant your family will return to again and again.

Park Square Market

6511 Americas Parkway NE

Park Square Market is the city’s newest food hall, and two of its restaurants offer exceptionally delicious vegan options: Little Gems and Kulantro. Little Gems’s colorful salads and bowls feature fresh vegetables, grains, and tofu for plant-based protein. Kulantro offers yummy Vietnamese street food, with tofu noodle bowls or a spring salad with tofu for plant-based eaters.

Planty Sweet

Planty Sweet does not have a brick-and-mortar location, but check out their Facebook page and drool over these beautiful pastries and cakes. If you need a special occasion treat that is plant-based and gluten-free, then you better place an order with Planty Sweet.

Rust Is Gold Coffee

3732 Eubank Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111

Rust Is Gold Coffee serves delicious coffee, plus an array of vegan breakfast dishes and gluten-free baked goods.

Thai Heritage & Vegan

3804 Central Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 (moving to 701 Central Ave. NE on May 30)

The entire menu is amazing. The crispy chicken tastes exactly like chicken, and they even have seafood dishes. (All of the meats are soy-based!) Everything is fantastic, and you can’t tell that it is vegan. The soups are always a great choice, and the rolls are probably the best rolls I have ever tasted.

Vegos

4003 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87101

Vegan eaters rave about this place. They serve New Mexican food that’s completely vegan, like breakfast burritos, chile rellenos, and stuffed sopapillas. Also . . . churros!

Chipotle

It’s not a local option, but Chipotle is our favorite fast-food spot. The sofritas are a vegan option, and you can add them to any of the meals they have. I always get a sofritas bowl. The kids love sofritas in a burrito with rice and black beans. This is great for a quick lunch or dinner, and there are several locations around the city.
