The 4 Best Locally Owned Drive-Thru Drinks in Town

The drive-thru is a mom’s lifesaver. When you need a fast treat or a pick me up, running to a nearby drive-thru is the way to go. You don’t have a long wait to deal with, and you don’t even have to unbuckle the car seats.

Here are a few of the best locally owned drive-thru drinks in town!

1. Rise + Roast: Chai Tea

Rise+Roast is a local drive-thru coffee and donut shop with three locations across Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. They have freshly-made donuts and hand-pressed coffee daily. They also have a selection of teas and a fantastic chai tea. Rise+Roast also has a variety of smoothie options, made original style or with added protein. Their menu is a combination of classic and affordable, and their service is fast and friendly.  This is my new go-to morning drive-thru.

2. Blake’s Lotaburger: Shake

Blake’s Lotaburger is a local restaurant famous for its breakfast burritos, but did you know they also have fantastic shakes? They offer vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and cherry year-round, but their seasonal shakes are an absolute must-try. The peach and pumpkin pie shakes are my favorites. Their current seasonal shake is strawberry lavender. They have many locations throughout the city, but not all of them have a drive-thru, so keep that in mind.

3. Pinon Coffee House: Latte

Pinon Coffee House has some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. Their vanilla latte is my absolute favorite, but their Adobe Morning Latte is their special Albuquerque blend. They also have unique and delicious seasonal lattes available throughout the year. Don’t worry if coffee isn’t your thing. They have a fabulous London Fog, and for all the biscochito lovers, they have an Albuquerque Fog as well. They have several drive-thru locations around town.

4. Mac’s Steak in the Rough: Strawberry Lemonade

Mac’s Steak in the Rough is a very unique local restaurant. While there is only one location, they have a dining area, a drive-through, and car hop stations! Their lemonade is just the right combination of sweet and refreshing. Add strawberry or cherry flavor to make it extra special. Besides lemonade, they also serve iced tea, shakes, malts, and floats!
