From birthdays to graduations, and all the little moments in between, celebrating milestones is something we naturally do for our kids. However, it’s just as important to honor the incredible women in our lives! Whether it’s an engagement party, wedding shower, baby shower, or retirement party, life’s big moments deserve to be celebrated with good food, laughter, and a room full of people who care.
As a child, I absolutely loved looking through Good Housekeeping and Southern Living magazines and envisioning myself as an adult hosting elaborate celebrations with home-cooked hors d’oeuvres and calligraphed place cards.

As a working mom and type-B human, this vision has not quite panned out. Let’s just say I learned that Do-It-Yourself event planning is not really my forte. If it had been entirely up to me, my wedding might have taken place in a charming, but completely empty barn. Thank goodness for friends and family who lovingly intervened and ensured we had a few essentials like chairs, tables, and actual food.
Despite my planning deficiencies, I still love celebrating the women in my life. Thankfully, Albuquerque has venues for every type of event. From venues that provide everything you need to show up and get the party started to event spaces that offer a blank canvas to make your own, this list will help you get started on planning your next celebration!
