We asked the ABQ Mom team to describe the perfect Mother’s Day, and this is what they said:
“My perfect Mother’s Day is a morning walk or hike with my family, heading to a local coffee shop, and slowly enjoying a tea and some breakfast. Then a movie during the day and cooking a yummy dinner together as a family.” -Brittany
“Childless margaritas on the beach.” -Taylor
“My perfect Mother’s Day is a nice but family-friendly brunch and an outing somewhere new. This year we’re headed to the Georgia O’Keefe Museum!” -Lindsey
“My perfect Mother’s Day is having an outdoor adventure with my son! This year, we are headed to Fenton Lake for kayaking and camping along with our dog.” -Alyssa
“My perfect Mother’s Day is brunch somewhere with my family. Then a visit to the cemetery to visit my daughter, the one who made me a mom. (Mother’s Day is hard for me; nobody said it has to be easy!) Followed by plant shopping, some planting and playing in the dirt with my boys, and finally, a margarita on a patio.” -Marybeth
“When I was little, my mom told me, ‘It’s tradition to bring your mom breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day.’ Since I didn’t know how to cook, I replied, ‘Mama, do you like Coco Puffs?’ Eating a bowl of Coco Puffs in bed became our annual tradition! I’ll never forget my first Mother’s Day when my mom told me she had a surprise for me . . . it was a box of Coco Puffs!” -Rachael
“My perfect Mother’s Day is having breakfast ready when I wake up. And having a day out with my family. Whether it’s going for a morning walk or taking a drive up to the Sandia Mountains. To be out and see nature is my favorite thing to do.” -Fran
“My perfect Mother’s Day is being able to sleep in and go to brunch at Flying Star (my fave). I don’t want to do any cleaning or laundry for the day but just spend quality time with my husband and kids. Maybe throw in a massage!” -Amanda
“Barefoot in the grass enjoying a beautiful day with my husband while the kids play.” -Sharon
