As moms one of the worst feelings is waking up to a sick baby in the middle of the night, but this only gets worse when you run into their room and realize they have thrown up on their clean bed because their tummies are in pain. My mom always had pillows and mattress protectors under the sheets and pillowcases on our beds. This saved some time but I still had to scramble to put new clean sheets on my baby’s mattress when she was sick.

Puppy pads! Now when I make my baby’s bed, I prepare for the worst! I start with the mattress cover, then add a layer of puppy pads, then the fitted sheet. This protects the mattress and makes for a quick sheet change. But I take it up a notch by adding a second layer of puppy pads and a second fitted sheet. That way I can rip the first dirty layer off with my eyes still half closed and reveal a clean layer for my baby to sleep on.
