Photos with Santa Event Recap

The Albuquerque Moms Blog “Photos with Santa” event was held at the spacious National Hispanic Cultural Center inside the Pete Domenici Education Center on December 9, 2018. Albuquerque Moms Blog wanted to do our part to make it easy for families to get the perfect holiday portrait without the hassle. The event offered set appointment times with no waiting, crowds, or big lines to see Santa.

Kids kept busy at the event with a variety of entertainment. We were especially thankful to our title sponsor Rio Grande Credit Union. The credit union provided a fun ornament station for kids to make their own holiday ornaments.

Rio Grande Credit Union, Albuquerque Moms BlogAmerican Home Furniture provided a lovely and festive holiday backdrop for the Christmas photos. It was truly a treat to have Santa mix and mingle with our guests, pose for photos, and even retell the classic story of “The Night Before Christmas.” It was a less hurried, more organized approach to the holidays. Isn’t that what moms really want for Christmas?

Recording artist Susie Tallman and Friends of Rock Me Baby Records set the holiday mood performing their festive and joyful sounds of the season. Guests also enjoyed yummy, oversized, chocolate chip cookies from Bubba’s 33. Pop Fizz and the Paleta Bar in the National Hispanic Cultural Center also lent a helping hand with our hot cocoa bar.

Singing Princess Parties provided a fairytale story time. The story time was a big hit for Princess Elsa fans. Children also had the chance to draw a picture or write an extra special letter to Santa.

Color Wheel Toys, a fun pop up shop with unique children’s gifts on Central Avenue, provided crafts for kids.  Dion’s Pizza sponsored our selfie photo booth. Parents in attendance got the chance to shop and learn more about local services from our wonderful vendors.

A big thank you to our vendors Solar Works, Isagenix, Norwex, Huntington Learning Center, and the Albuquerque Dentist Office.

We are appreciative of our event photographers Kate Buckles, Segura Family Shooters, and Lauren Cherie Photography for capturing the magic of the holiday season.

Finally, a special thank you to all who participated and attended our event.
