World Seabird Day at the Aquarium

July 3rd is the annual World Seabird Day, chosen to mark the last recorded sighting of the now-extinct Great Auk in 1844. Seabirds spend their lives at sea, this group includes gulls, albatrosses, petrels, shearwaters, and many more! Collectively, they are one of the most threatened vertebrate groups in the world.
