Come experience culture, movement, and tradition with Benjamin Shendo, a proud member of the Jemez and Cochiti Pueblo communities and founder of Indigenous Connection 1696, LLC, based in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.
Through dynamic classes and workshops, Benjamin creates opportunities to reconnect with Indigenous traditions using movement, storytelling, and hands-on expression. His offerings include hoop dancing, capoeira, lacrosse, leather crafts, and more—each rooted in cultural knowledge and community connection.
With a vision to reach schools and programs across New Mexico, Benjamin welcomes participants of all ages to learn, grow, and engage with traditions in meaningful and accessible ways.
