Multiple locations in the Greater Albuquerque area
It’s hard to go wrong with Dion’s. It’s a local favorite for a reason. The ranch is heavenly. And for us moms, the drive-thru is a lifesaver. Dion’s tops this list because it’s easy, convenient, affordable and delicious.

It’s one of the few places where I feel totally comfortable taking my kids since it’s very family friendly. Restoration Pizza is committed to making delicious pizza. They have all the favorites, many gourmet options and a to-die-for cauliflower crust. But they’re also invested in our community and want to make it a better place. They hire differently-abled individuals and provide them an inclusive work environment with competitive opportunities and fair wages. It’s pizza with a purpose!

Village Pizza

Village Pizza is a family-owned Albuquerque staple that boasts lots of made-from-scratch menu items using tried and true recipes. Village Pizza never skimps on the toppings either. They’re always piled high.

Chicago Pizza Kitchen

Chicago Pizza Kitchen is owned and operated by disabled U.S. veterans, and boasts that they are “Home of the TRUE Chicago.” The dough on these authentic Chicago-style pizzas is made fresh daily, and their pies feature fresh, locally sourced ingredients. They also have pan and thin crust pizzas that even come in kid sizes, so your whole family can get exactly what they want!

Golden Crown Panaderia

This neighborhood bakery near Old Town created its own New Mexican style pizza. Choose from peasant crust, blue corn crust or their Famous New Mexico Green Chile Crust, which is amazing. The patio is gorgeous too! And don’t be surprised if you see this family-owned restaurant on a re-run of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives With Guy Fieri.

Slice Parlor

If you’re looking for New York-style pizza, look no further than Slice Parlor. They hand throw their made-from-scratch dough to achieve that thin New York crust. Their pizzas are baked on slate in authentic deck ovens, just like New York City. Order slices or whole pies. Our writer Katie loves their awesome lunch deals for an inexpensive lunch date with her daughter or husband.
Farina Pizzeria

Farina Pizzeria & Wine Bar features artisanal pizzas, fresh salads and house-made pastas served in the heart of Albuquerque. Not to mention they were voted #17 best pizza joint in the nation by Timeout Magazine.

Amore Neapolitan Pizzeria

If you want to feel like you’ve traveled to Italy without leaving the desert, this might be what you’re looking for. We’ve heard Amore is the most authentic in Albuquerque, which makes sense since they’ve actually been trained and certified to make authentic Neapolitan pizza, and their oven comes straight from Naples itself.

Order a pan pizza, drinks, sandwiches or salads, then grab some board games from their shelf to play for free while you eat! Their shelves are packed with classic favorites and new-to-you choices that will keep everyone entertained. The game cards are thoughtfully wrapped in sleeves too to keep greasy pizza fingers from leaving stains.

HAWT Pizza Co.

HAWT stands for Have A Wonderful Time, which you’re sure to have when chowing down on this delicious pizza! Co-founder Felicia Meyer started making pizza in her backyard for friends, who loved the taste so much she started a pizza catering business, then opened a brick and mortar site. Now, HAWT serves wood-fired favorites and gluten-free options at two locations in town.

Davido’s Pizza

This pizza spot is a Rio Rancho family favorite. They’re open for takeout or delivery and have great daily specials.

Richie B’s stands out because they offer huge 18” and 25” pizzas that are all hand-tossed and made to order. Of course, you can order normal sized pizzas too. But why wouldn’t you want a pizza larger than your toddler?
Old Town Pizza Parlor
108 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104
Just off the Old Town Plaza, this family-friendly, comfy pizza spot is close to lots of favorites like the Biopark, Explora and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. We hear great things about their specialties such as the Pizza Blanca, Margarita Pizza or the Parlor Pie.
Gino’s New York Style Pizza
3908 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110
Gino’s is the most famous pizza in all of Albuquerque. This is the one and only pizza that ended up on Walter White’s roof in Breaking Bad. But don’t worry, the fame hasn’t gone to their head. This spot is still serving ABQ with the same great pizza and family traditions as they have since 1978.
Amadeo’s Pizza

Amadeo’s hand-tossed pizza is sure to please. You can also order by the slice all day. And their meal specials can’t be beat. We also hear great things about their wings.
Pizza Barn
11 Plaza Loop, Edgewood, NM 87015
Whether you live or play in the East Mountains, Pizza Barn is definitely the place to grab a slice on the green side. Its comfortable, friendly atmosphere is chock full of small-town charm. Plus it was rated #1 by I Am New Mexico as the best of the top 20 New Mexico pizza joints.
Il Vicino

Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza is a contemporary Italian pizzeria serving authentic wood-fired pizza and more.

This one is a little bit of a drive, but worth it. If you are in the mood for pizza, salad, sandwiches or burgers, this is the place for you. A perfect spot to stop after a quick, family-friendly hike.
