DESCRIPTION:In celebration of the centennial of Route 66\, we’ll be featuring films this year from different places on the Mother Road! An alien takes the form of a young Wisconsin widow’s husband and makes her drive him to his departure point in Arizona. Distrustful government agents\, along with a more ambivalent scientist\, give pursuit in hopes of intercepting them. This 1984 film features the Meteor Crater Trading Post\, just west of Winslow\, Arizona\, on Route 66. \nStarman has a runtime of 1 hour 55 minutes and is rated PG. \nPlease be advised that attendance at all movies is at the viewer’s discretion\, and some material may be unsuitable for some individuals. Individual responsibility is recommended for attendance. For full description on rating advice please refer to the Motion Pictures Association of America. DESCRIPTION:Mountain Dulcimers have earned a place in our American musical heritage. The emigrants living on the American frontier earned the name ‘hillbillies’ because they settled in the Appalachian mountains. Musical traditions ran deep in these communities. They built simple\, fretted instruments from whatever wood was available and the American mountain dulcimer was born and like many  instruments\, it has evolved to allow many styles of playing. \nSandia Mountain Dulcimers is a group of enthusiasts of all skill levels that have a passion for dulcimers. Led by Irma Reeder\, their mission is to promote and preserve this versatile instrument which is largely unfamiliar in the Southwest
