DESCRIPTION:Come out and celebrate the 4th of July at Overlook Park\, in White Rock! The event begins at 4pm with music\, activities\, vendors\, and more! \nAn important item to note for this year’s 4th of July Spectacular Event is that the event will not take place on Spirio Field. They will be happening on the Dara Jones Soccer Field\, and surrounding softball and baseball fields. In addition to Spirio Field being closed\, the entire north side of Overlook Park will be closed to any kind of traffic (pedestrian and vehicle). \nParking will not be allowed in the Park. Only Handicapped Parking\, will be available in Overlook Park next to the concession stand biulding. All attendees must either walk or bus into the park. \nGrills will not be allowed in the park this year\, due to the recent work done to the fields and the current fire restrictions. \nMatchbox Twenty Too\, a Matchbox Twenty tribute band will be the main concert for the evening beginning at 7pm\, and and this year’s event will include an extended drone show\, beginning at 9pm. \nThere will be NO Fireworks for the 2026 4th of July. \nThe Atomic City Transit will be running in support of this event from 3:00pm – 10:30pm\, with pick-up locations at the Lemon Lot\, and the White Rock Visitor Center. SUMMARY:IOPA Summer Performance Art Program
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, the Inside Out Performance Academy (IOPA) invites youth to make a splash with “Whale of a Summer\,” an ocean-themed performing arts experience for kids of all ages. They will build skills through ensemble singing\, movement\, performance games\, and creative exploration\, all in a supportive environment designed to help them be heard\, be seen\, and grow from the Inside Out. \nThis program will run from June 1 through July 24 from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm\, and is designed for children ages 4 through Grade 12. This program is hosted at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church (4601 Juan Tabo\, Blvd. Albuquerque\, NM 87111). \nThe summer is divided into four two-week sessions\, allowing families flexibility in choosing the weeks that work best for them.
