SUMMARY:Keshet Dance Company New Works | Tarrion
DESCRIPTION:Keshet Dance Company New Works presents: Tarrion\, a collaboration between Albuquerque-based multimedia composer Zachariah Julian and choreographer\, Keshet Company Dancer\, and Director of Arts and Engagement Ana Lopes Aréchiga. Tarrion was born from an intense two-week collaborative process during the 2025 Hear Here Festival at Keshet; left feeling like there was more to explore\, the creators expanded into a full-length standalone work. \nSet on the dancers of Keshet Dance Company\, Tarrion is a visceral experience\, a visually and aurally exquisite evening-length contemporary dance work that explores concepts of humanity\, energy\, forces of nature\, and the essence/experience of inconclusiveness. Tarrion magnifies opportunities to evaluate our connection in and between bodies and spaces. \nJoin us in our idiosyncratic world of Tarrion.

SUMMARY:Science on Tap: Medical Effects of the Chernobyl Reactor Accident
DESCRIPTION:Science on Tap is not your ordinary lecture series. Forget stuffy classrooms; we’re bringing top-tier scientists and subject matter experts to a relaxed environment where the conversation flows. \nForty years after the April 26\, 1986\, disaster\, the legacy of Chernobyl remains a battleground between medical fact and political friction. While the Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS) suffered by nuclear operators and first responders is well-documented\, the long-term epidemiological impact remains one of the most debated topics in nuclear history. \nKey Discussion Points: \n\nThe Knowns: A summary of the immediate radiation effects on reactor operators.\nThe Unknowns: Why 40 years of research haven’t settled the questions regarding long-term disease.\nThe Conflict: How the Chernobyl aftermath is as much a political issue as a medical one.\n\nEVENT DETAILS\n\nThursday\, April 09\, 2026 | Doors Open at 5:30 pm | Presentation at 6:00 pm\nLocation: National Museum of Nuclear Science & History\nAdmission: $12 per person\nRequirement: Must be 21+ to attend.
