Those interested can contact alfredo_fernandez@cox.net for more information. The ancestors of the Founders will meet at the Don Francisco Cuervo y Valdes statue at the corner of Romero St. and Charlevoix St. at 1 p.m. The procession of banners will make its way to the Gazebo at Plaza Vieja at 1:30 p.m. \nJoin in the festivities of Albuquerque’s Birthday Celebration by singing and dancing along to live music throughout Old Town. On Saturday\, April 18 from noon-4 pm Poco A Poco patio will feature local performers including the Burque Trio and John Martinez. SUMMARY:Learn to Track Wildlife at the OSVC
DESCRIPTION:The tracking workshop will be a hands-on\, in-the-field experience open to all ages and skill levels. The session will last approximately 2–3 hours and cover 1.5 to 2 miles. Participants will learn how to identify tracks and signs left by a variety of bosque wildlife. \n\nMichael Cox is a Master Naturalist and volunteer ecology educator at the Sandia Mountain Natural History Center. He has been tracking wildlife for the past 18 years and is Level III certified in Track and Sign through CyberTracker North America. Michael has led tracking workshops for both city and county Open Space programs\, the Bernalillo County Master Naturalist Program\, the Rio Grande Nature Center\, and Bosque School. \nThis program is open to youth and adults and offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of wildlife tracking and learn more about the diverse species that inhabit the Bosque ecosystem.
